Taylor Spencer of Mechanicsville Receives Award at St. Mary's College of Maryland

Taylor Spencer, a resident of Mechanicsville, MD, received the Edward T. Lewis Poetry Award at St. Mary's College of Maryland.

On April 25, 2014, St. Mary's College of Maryland held its annual Awards Convocation ceremony awarding 85 students various departmental and general college awards for exceptional academic scholarship.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 1,800 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
