2011 May 27

Elizabeth Durrant, a resident of Severn, MD, was awarded Dean's List honors for academic achievement during the Spring 2011 semester at St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Dean's List honors are awarded to full-time students at St. Mary's who earn a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or better on 12 or more graded credits.

"St. Mary's College of Maryland is among the most rigorous liberal arts programs nationally, and this accomplishment demonstrates true commitment to academic success," said President Joe Urgo. "I am pleased to see students meeting the demanding requirements necessary for placement on the Dean's list."

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
