Caitlin Cromer of Halethorpe Awarded Scholarship at St. Mary's College of Maryland

Caitlin Cromer of Halethorpe, Maryland, was awarded the Boone Endowed Scholarship at St. Mary's College of Maryland. The scholarship was established in memory of his parents, Helen Garrett and John Revell Boone, by Maria and Neale Boone to benefit students with academic merit and financial need.

Cromer, Class of 2012, is majoring in anthropology and sociology. She is a member of the Woman's Rugby Team and the women's a capella group, TNA. Cromer intends to receive her master's degree in either applied anthropology or cultural sustainability. She then wishes to pursue a PhD in cultural anthropology.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
